Jadyn isnd lakes, using genomic tools to inform sustainable fisheries management

Jadyn is an MSc student at the University of Winnipeg, specializing in population genomics and freshwater ecology. She completed a BSc (Honours) at the University of Winnipeg with Dr. Good as her supervisor. Her research now focuses on Lake Whitefish population structure in Manitoba’s major inland lakes, using genomic tools to inform sustainable fisheries management.
​ In addition to her research, Jadyn serves as the student representative on the University Animal Care Committee (UACC), contributing to the ethical oversight of animal-based research. She also loves sharing her passion for freshwater ecology and research through assisting in university courses as a teaching assistant and laboratory demonstrator.
