Amy joined the Good Lab in April 2023 as an NSERC student while completing the UofW's Indigenous Summer Scholars Program (ISSP). During this time, she started working on the lamprey sex determination project, looking into target genes that are impacting this process. Currently, she is enrolled in a directed study that is focusing on methods in histology. This lab-based course is working to produce histological slides of lamprey samples, analyzing the morphological changes occurring during their sex determination process.
